20th Annual Legislative
Reception U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson and St. Louis Mayor Francis G. Slay were among the civic leaders who were honored at Cardinal Glennon’s 20th annual legislative reception. The event, held January 11 at the Saint Louis offices of A.G. Edwards & Sons, recognizes public servants whose work has benefited the children of Missouri and Illinois and includes a briefing on issues facing children and pediatric health care providers.
Emerson represents the Eighth Congressional District of southeastern Missouri, an important part of Glennon’s referral area. Also honored at the program were Joan Barry and Catherine Hanaway, Missouri state representatives, Tom Ryder, Illinois state representative, and Frank Watson, Illinois state senator. United States representatives Todd Akin, of Missouri’s Second District, and David Phelps, of Illinois’ 19th District, received certificates of appreciation. |
