FAITH_HILL__BOB_COSTAS(St. Louis) - Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation announced today that the 2011 Bob Costas Benefit, featuring Conan O’Brien and Faith Hill, has set an all-time record for revenue. The enormously popular annual event, held April 2 at the Fox Theatre, raised more than $830,000 and sold more than 4,100 tickets, both all-time highs.

“I am grateful to the city of St. Louis, who continues to support this incredible pediatric hospital,” said Bob Costas, who has been hosting this annual fundraiser for SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center since 1989. “This year’s show was remarkable, not only in attendance and dollars raised, but because Conan and Faith put so much time and effort into making it a special night for St. Louis,” Costas added, noting that both performers donated their time and talents to Cardinal Glennon.

More than half of the revenue from this year’s event came in as corporate support, including the title sponsorship from the Centene Corporation. “It was great to be a part of such an amazing show,” said Centene CEO Michael Neidorff. “Centene is proud to support a world-class pediatric hospital, while also giving St. Louis one of the best comedy and music concerts of the year.”

This year’s major corporate sponsors of the Bob Costas Benefit were: Title Sponsor, Centene Corporation; Platinum Sponsors, Anheuser-Busch Inc., Edward Jones, MasterCard Worldwide and M & I Bank. “It’s been remarkable to see the corporate support grow over the years,” dinner planning Chairman Allen Allred said. “In total, we have over 100 companies and individuals participating at various sponsor levels. We have parties going on all over the Grand Center neighborhood before and after the show. The generous folks in our community have a fun evening and help to make miracles happen every day at the Bob Costas Cancer Center at Cardinal Glennon."

Over the 23-year history, the Costas event has raised more than $12 million dollars to support pediatric cancer research and treatment for thousands of children from across the United States. All proceeds from the annual benefit go to support the Bob Costas Cancer Center at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.
