The HOPE Pantry is an initiative at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, sponsored by Glennon Ambassadors. Glennon Ambassadors are grateful families giving back, who communicate and support the mission of Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. They know the importance of peer support, and are striving to make the parent experience as comfortable as possible. While many families have planned visits to the hospital, some families are admitted unexpectedly, and others must stay longer than anticipated. The Ronald McDonald Family Room provides shower facilities, some basic shower toiletries, and a variety of donated snack items for parents. The goal of the HOPE Pantry is to supplement these generous efforts with additional items often requested or needed by parents. Parents are welcome to visit the Ronald McDonald Family Room on 5th Floor and request if particular personal care, clothing or other comfort items are available from the HOPE Pantry through the volunteer. The Family Room is open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. as long as a volunteer is available.
Personal care item bags (pre-assembled by volunteers) are also distributed from the nursing staff, as needed from this inventory. Items listed in red are in greatest need of your support.
Our stock is dependent on community support, such as yours. Your generous donation will help keep the following frequently-requested items available to our parents:
