Event will benefit inpatient and outpatient cancer services in The Costas Center
at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital
ST. LOUIS (March 8, 2017) – SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Foundation and the Glennon Guild will hold the 38th Annual Fashion Show, Boutique and Luncheon – Glennon Style, on Thursday, April 20 at The Chase Park Plaza. Cindy Preszler of WeatherSTL.com will serve as this year’s emcee, with fashions modeled by patients, doctors, caregivers and volunteers of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
Funds raised through the Glennon Style Fashion Show, Boutique and Luncheon will benefit inpatient and outpatient cancer services, including the creation of the Cindy Brooks Reading Nooks in The Costas Center inpatient cancer unit in memory of the Guild’s past President, Cindy Brooks, who passed suddenly in September of 2015. The reading nooks are part of a renovation plan currently underway in the cancer unit, which will provide a soothing, beach-themed environment for the patients and their families.
Funds from recent Fashion Shows have helped renovate the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, which serves the most critically ill children and also funded the Pediatric Dental Residency Program to help the underinsured who are most affected with dental diseases.
“We are extremely grateful to the Glennon Guild for all they do to help our patients and families,” said Sandy Koller, executive director of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation. “They are a group of compassionate and dedicated women who continuously answer the call to serve.”
Glennon Style is presented by Dr. Brown’s Bottles. The boutique, silent auction and raffle will open at 10 am, followed by the luncheon and fashion show at 11:45 am. The $85 ticket price includes free parking in the Chase Park Plaza garage and may be purchased online at glennon.org/glennonstyle.
The Glennon Guild is a women's organization made up of more than 150 members founded to support the interests and growth of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon and the many children it serves.
