The family of Raquel Rose Rankin host this annual fundraiser around Raquel’s birthday every year in her memory. After being in a car accident in May 2001, Raquel was airlifted to SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center where she was taken care of until she passed away from injuries sustained in the accident. The family is grateful for the staff at SSM Cardinal Glennon as they were amazing during Raquel’s stay in the ICU; allowing her to have many visitors during her stay and going beyond the call of duty. The Ride for Rocky is now in its 14th year to raise money for SSM Cardinal Glennon and for Have Bible Will Travel, which was the church she attended. This ride is for anyone who loves kids or just loves to ride. All makes, models, cars, bikes, etc. are welcomed and encouraged. The ride starts at Have Bible Will Travel and stops at The Pine Room (1102 Perry Street, St. Charles, MO), JJ’s Restaurant (2200 Fort Zumwalt Square, O’Fallon, MO), Su Wallers Bar & Grill (2101 N Warson Road, Overland, MO) eventually ending at the VFW (10817 Midland, Overland, MO 63114).
