Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation Appoints New Executive Director
July 1, 2014 (ST. LOUIS) – One of the fastest growing and successful philanthropic organizations in St. Louis is continuing to recruit top non-profit leaders to their team. The Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation recently named Sandy Koller as their new executive director. Koller comes to the top fundraising SSM Health Care foundation after serving the past several years at Mercy Health Foundation as the Regional Vice President and Ministry Campaign Manager.
“Sandy is going to be a great asset to our faith-based mission,” said Dan Buck, vice president of philanthropy for SSM Health Care Foundations in St. Louis. “She brings a collaborative spirit, a servant’s heart and a genuine enthusiasm for pediatric health care. She will be a great leader in helping us continue our growth at Cardinal Glennon.”
Koller brings more than a decade of philanthropic leadership experience, including many years running her own consulting company that raised millions of dollars for a wide-range of organizations, candidates, campaigns and initiatives across Missouri. “I feel blessed to be joining one of the great Catholic organizations in our region that is doing such incredible lifesaving work for children,” said Koller. “Cardinal Glennon is truly a place where faith and healing unite, and I can’t wait to join their growing and dynamic mission.”
The Board of Governors and SSM leadership selected Koller from more than 80 qualified candidates in a national search.
“Sandy brings a great balance of management skills and leadership qualities and will be a tremendous complement to an already vibrant team at our foundation,” said Jim Brennan, president of the SSM Cardinal Glennon Board of Governors.
Kate Becker, interim president at SSM Cardinal Glennon is excited to work alongside Koller. “Sandy has a very collaborative way about her. She knows how to build trust and strong relationships in the community. Most importantly, she has a profound respect and love for the mission of Cardinal Glennon,” Becker said.
